Gettin' Wiggy Wit' It!

Yup, that IS Emma in a wig! That sassy Florence Henderson shag is one of my moms. She doesn't wear it much. :-) Em asked to wear the wig, she really wanted to try it. She was enjoying playing with it, but was pretty tired when I asked if I could take her picture wearing it, hence the serious look. She's most definitely a fan of dress up, so to her, this wig was another option of "dressing up". We got a good laugh at her while she had it on. As always, she doesn't like the bangs though. She pushed those out of her face every time they slid down towards her face. It's the story of our life, she hates having her hair in her face!

Also, Emma has decided that when she gets "old, I'm a be a cheerleader!" It melts my old cheerleader heart to hear my daughter say that. Of course, let's be honest, I'm far too old to be dealing with cheerleading. In fact, I was invited to cheer at my high schools homecoming game last weekend. I declined, mostly because nobody wants to see a tubby 27 year old mother of a two year old, who, by the way, doesn't fit in her uniform anyway, dance and cheer. I'm officially a "senior citizen", as one of my fellow alumni calls herself regularly because I was totally disgusted with the attire that teenage girls choose to wear. It makes me want to tell them that it's okay to cover up and that a little mystery can actually be a GOOD thing. Blah! Darn teens these days. ;-)

Well, it's 9:30 on a Tuesday night and after driving all day, I'm spent. This eldery mother is going to bed. Goodnight!
