Emma is currently helping Aunt Nana load up her car to head home. She has been playing with Aunt Nana since she arrived on Friday afternoon. She is starting to understand when people have to go home. She still hates when anyone leaves the house to go home, but she's starting to get it. We had fun with Aunt Nana this weekend. We went toy shopping, watched movies, cleaned out Em's baby toys and re-organized, ate junk food - it was a good ol' girls weekend. She has to go home now and I'm sure Em will be sad. We'll survive...
I really wish that Emma had more friends her own age that lived here. She has one or two kids that she sees at church, but rarely outside of that. I want to sign her up for a dance class and swimming lessons over the summer, but I don't know what kind of schedule I'll have at the school. I hope that it allows me to still have some time here and there that won't require me to be at the school all day. Em and I have lots of plans for parks, walks and water fun! I can't wait. Last summer was fun, but now that she's even older, it's going to be even better!
...I feel that I may have lost most of my sense of humor while writing lately. It's like I have a lack of motivation or something. There are not fewer stupid people out there for me to vent about because I yell at them all the time. (Or maybe it's just the stupid drivers here that I yell at from the safety of my locked and closed car) And that college kids regularly give me things to laugh about. Hhhhmmm. Is there such a thing as "humor block"? I'm going to have to really work hard to find my humor. But for now, I'm going to find my sweatpants, take a shower and put those on so that I can lounge around my house all day. At least til 7pm when I have to get ready for my co-ed volleyball game. I have a good 7 1/2 hours to do NOTHING! Thank goodness!
