The fast lane of toddlerhood:
When Em was born, I thought - "oh, it won't go by fast! Time seems to be standing still just cuddling with her, there's no way that I'll ever have to worry about her getting older" - two years and four days later and I'm still in shock that she is TWO! ... TWO! When the heck did this happen? I look at pictures of her first birthday and think - "Who is that kid and why does that seem like just the other day?"
I know that I post about how funny she is all the time but have I mentioned her other traits that I love? Like... She is one crazy child. She is most definitely of my genetic make-up. I actually called out "Hey Loudmouth" the other day and she turned around like, "What?" :-) Of course my child would be loud... Could she be anything different? I wouldn't even say it's because she's a girl because I, personally, have met many guys who are way louder and chattier than me. I know, someone louder who talks more? Get out! It's true! I have! But she is a natural little mommy and most definitely a little singer. The girl just loves to sing! I could listen to her sing her songs all day long. Really. I could. What could possibly be cuter than a two year old singing the "ABC's" or "Twinkle,Twinkle Little Star" or "Itsy Bitsy Spider" or "Jesus Loves Me"? What is cuter than that? Oh, I'll tell you...
Yesterday Emma and I went for a walk around the block with her brand new baby stroller. It was absolutely the most wonderful walk. EVER. She pushed that stroller all around chatting like any other mom talking to her baby and her friends. I could have spent the rest of the night watching her if I wasn't so freaking cold and I didn't have to go to practice. I loved every second. She made me laugh, sigh and even tear up a little. When did my little peanut become such a little girl?! Here are some pictures from both yesterday and today from our adventures around the block (I'll try and get the video I took up soon, but that'll definitely take a little while):
