Senior Camp 2009

Well, the second week we spent hanging out with The Call was at Western Washington's Open Bible Youth Camp. Since I grew up in Western WA, I have been at the same campgrounds for quite some time and this year was quite different than the past. We were at Miracle Ranch this year instead of Millersylvania State Park. While the campground was amazing compared to Millersylvania, it was definitely weird to be in a totally different place. *Although I will say the 4 bald eagles that hung out by my little cottage did make me happy though* Anyway, so camp was wonderful and we had such a great time hanging out with students and our friends from Western Washington. Nathan did lots of video editting and taking care of stuff with computers and I was the camp nurse. I definitely got to know certain kids more than I would have maybe wanted to ;-) but it was a good time and a new experience. I didn't take many pictures, in fact, I don't even think I really took any, but I can say that we had a good time.

I had a fabulous little house/cottage for the week. I was right off the lake so in the morning, I opened the living room window and TADA! THE LAKE! AH It was SO beautiful! I loved it! I did have some issues with the bathroom, and while I blame Nathan for it starting, it was actually a blockage in the septic tank that had just been building up. So basically, Nathan just aggrevated it ;-)

Emma did get to play in the lake one day and she loved it. I truly have a water baby. I can't wait to see about swimming lessons in the fall! :-) And I, the one who is terrified of water, RODE IN A ROW BOAT! :-) And I didn't cry or wet my pants. Stephanie and I did laugh so hard at one point that we came pretty close. Don't worry, we weren't rowing, we made Victor do it. lol. Anywho, the team had fun, Nathan, Emma and I got to spend time with our former students and our friends, so overall, I'd saw the week was pretty darn good. I will say that we all missed our usual camp food and that I, personally, would kill for a camp cinnamon roll right now!

Here's some pictures I do have -
