Everyone likes pictures and everyone likes to hear stories. I took the two and made our Christmas this year into a story WITH pictures. I'm just that good, lol. :-) The pictures I took at Nathan's parents house didn't turn out very well, the lighting wasn't terrific, so they are really dark and look bad. Some fine editing might help, but I am too impatient for that today. SO... Sorry. Maybe next time. We'll begin our journey with STOCKINGS - Emma got to help pass out the stockings and really thought is was the best job ever. She knew everybody's name and when Jules (her cousin) told her who to give the stocking to, she took it right over!
Next we'll move onto probably her favorite present of the year: Thomas and Friends Load & Go playset. The girl LOVES trains, specifically Percy (not sure why). Her uncle KC found this for her and she has played with it almost non-stop since we put it together. The picture below this shows Emma posing with her new train set on Daddy's lap. Her smile never ceases to make me laugh.
On Sunday, we were blessed with the chance to eat some good Chinese food. We loaded up in my parents van and trekked to ChinaTown in Seattle where we ate at House of Hong. It's probably some of the best food ever. Emma really wanted to use chopsticks, so we gave her a pair. She was mostly successful.

After we finished our amazingly delicious lunch, we headed to Uwajimaya to walk around. For those of you who don't know about this fabulous store, which is stocked full of yummy goodies for every appetite, check out their website - Uwajimaya I promise you, you can find some serious goodness to cook up! Plus, they have a food court which has a Hawaiian restaurant. I mean, who wouldn't want a plate of spam and rice to eat while you gear up to shop!? :-)

And of course, what trip wouldn't be complete without a random photo of Nathan?! You'd think he'd stay away from the camera since taking pictures is equal to getting the plague, but he always makes faces at the camera.
And lastly, it has nothing to to with Christmas, but it snowed for a few minutes yesterday and I took a picture to prove it. It was a beautiful, wet mess, and I'm sure we're all bummed it didn't stick :-( They said it was supposed to snow today (Thursday) but I don't believe the weather people here. I think they lie to make people happy. Or maybe it's just that Eugene hates the snow and that's why the snow never stays. I miss the snow and I miss having the chance to light a fire and watch it fall. I can light a fire all I want, but no snow here!
We hope you had a great Christmas and that you were each blessed this season! Happy New Year (tomorrow) and enjoy 2011!
