It's Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas

I'm thinking about changing my voicemail message to this song, like singing my voicemail greeting instead of just the same old "spoken" greeting... I can't decide if this is a good idea. Oh well.

Christmas is only 26 days away and I couldn't be more excited! There's just something about the spirit of Christmas that makes me feel like being crafty and more friendly. I like to make things, decorate, create things. My latest craftiness (if that's actually a word) has been designing our Christmas cards. It's been a lot of fun and I am SO excited to actually do it. Let's see if I follow through with ordering the creative cards instead of the pre-made classic cards I usually order. :-) But I'm loving it. It's a new adventure and I love it.

Today was quite possibly one of the most awful days of my year. I accidentally shut Em's finger in the door of our Durango. :-( We have both shed tears over it. I feel like the worst mom in the world, but a trip to her pediatrician, who is amazing, by the way, and an x-ray later and it isn't broken and I feel a little better. It's puffy and bruised and I feel bad that I didn't see her little finger in the way of the door when I closed it. It's okay though, I most definitely learned my lesson. I know that all mom's have these kinds of days, but I really wish they didn't happen. It happened first thing in the morning, so it made the rest of our day a bummer. :-( But tomorrow is a new day and hopefully it will be much better.

As for my voicemail, you'll just have to see if I change it when you call (and I don't pick up, haha). Enjoy your gift of being able to possibly enjoy my sweet voice singing to you as you wait to leave me a message :-)

Emma outside in the first snow of the season!
