Yes! Finally! We're moving off campus, across town to a 3 bedroom duplex! :-) Although it will be an adjustment to be away from the college, this is a great opportunity for us to have a place that feels just a little more like a home. We're excited to have our own washer and dryer, normal size dishwasher, extra space, a garage and a YARD! It may not be the biggest yard, but it's a beautiful yard, just the same! AH! I love it!
Scott and Sherrie Thomas moved from Eugene to Portland to plant a church, leaving the duplex they rented from Sherrie's parents open. Scott called us to find out if we were interested, but it happened to be right before we left to travel with The Call, so we didn't have a chance to really discuss it until the end of July. We talked about it and decided that we need the extra space and that it was a good opportunity for us. So, we made a couple phone calls, got to tour the duplex, chatted with Dick and Marilyn and now, we are moving! :-) We are going to be blessed to live next to Dick and Marilyn, they have such great hearts!
I will say, though, that packing and moving isn't my favorite. Thankfully, we kept a lot of stuff in boxes when we moved because we didn't have space to pull it all out. Then every couple of months, I go through some things and get rid of stuff and re-organize. We have less to pack up, but it's still frazzling. Especially since we've both got crazy weeks next week! eek! Our goal is to move on Sunday, September 6th! I'll post pictures soon! :-)
