I hate driving a stick

While I do appreciate that I have a mode of transportation now that Emma has graduated to her "big girl" car seat, I honestly hate driving the stick shift. My car would be sufficient to drive with Emma, but it'd be a nightmare getting her in and out. So, last week, Nathan and I began our adventures in stick shift driving with a trip to Target. Now, I did stall once, but once is pretty good seeing as though it has been a good 5-6 years since I drove a manual. With my confidence high, I loaded Emma up a day or two later for a trip to the library. Boy was that a dream killer! I stalled at least three times, thankfully there wasn't really anyone around so my ego wasn't bruised too badly. I've only driven it a couple times since that awful trip, and stalled once or twice, but I figure it's gotta get a little better. I don't know though. Nathan and I joked the other night that we should put a student driver sign on the back of the car. And I wave apologies to the people around me, especially at stop lights. I also think I should give out warnings to people that I'm getting ready to drive, like I used to ask our new drivers in the youth group to do, haha, now who's the new driver? It always comes back to bite you in the bum....
