Awanas Awards

As I said in a previous post, Emma finished her first year of the Awanas Program at church. She has another year of the Cubbies program before she moves up to the next one. Their last Wednesday was an awards ceremony. Yes. I was THAT mom. I had my camera, my flash and everything I needed to capture every moment of the program :-) Thankfully, the Cubbies were given their awards first and we were allowed to take off after that part because Emma would NOT have sat still or quietly for the remainder of the program. It was so neat to see her with her friends, celebrating their year of Cubbies and sharing some of the things she learned. I was a little bit hesitant of signing her up at first, but it was such a great thing for Em to be a part of. She learned so many Bible verses, the Pledge of Allegiance, the Cubbie Pledge and Verse and a lot of Children's Worship Songs. Nathan and I are so happy with the Awanas program and I know that Emma cannot wait until next year! I thought about trying to post all of the pictures, but then I decided to do a slideshow instead. Emma, we are so proud of you and cannot wait for next year! You're going to learn so much and I know that I am looking forward to all of the things you will learn as you continue on in this program! We love you!!!
