11 Weeks and Feelin' It

First of all, I look six months pregnant. Or rather, I look like I did when I was six months pregnant with Emma. This is a little concerning to me, since I'm nowhere near six months. I haven't gained much weight, so I'm not sure where the extra belly is really coming from, but I guess this time around, I'll get to have an extra-monstrous belly. For those of you who do not recall, this is what my belly looked like at 41 weeks with Emma:

And this is my belly at 11 weeks with our lil' pumpkin:
Ok, so maybe I just feel like I look bigger than I am, but still... That's some serious belly growing there.
I feel better, but still exhausted and nauseous most of the day. I had my first real Pre-Natal appt on Tuesday (3.29) and heard the wonderful heartbeat of our Lil' Pumpkin (or Nemo as Emma now only sometimes calls it). It was loud and clear around 170 bpm. It's so reassuring to hear that sound, which, if you haven't heard it before, resembles that of a train. A constant whooshing noise that is so amazing, you can't even describe how wonderful it sounds. Other than that, nothing big to report. Mustard has been added to the list of "don't even think about showing me the glob of it on your plate or I might throw up". I'm not sure why, it's just icky. Ask Nathan what happened when he pointed out that one of the students sitting diagonally from me had mustard on her plate... He got in BIG trouble for that one.

Well, I'm ready for bed and it's 5:25 pm. I think I need to figure out an appropriate time to nap during the day, but it's hard to nap knowing that falling to sleep in the evening may prove to be difficult. I might just have to go to bed now and pray that I sleep until morning... Hhhhmmm....
