Quotes from the Toddler of the House

Emma is now absolutely FULL of attitude and spunk. Here are some examples:

~ We're at the mall with some friends and Emma starts trying to walk away from me. Our conversation went like this:
Me: Emma, stop! Too far!
Emma: No tell me stop!
Me: I will tell you stop because I'm mom and that's my job.
Emma (with accompanied scowl and head jerk): You's not mommy, you's KAMI!
what do you say to that?!

~ In the car:
Emma(at who knows what): Stop it! (growl) I hate you! I hate you!
Me: Emma, we don't use that word, you can be sad, angry or frustrated, but you don't say "I hate", ok?
Emma(matter of factly): Mommy, I just hate somebodies okay?

~ At the bank, sitting on the counter:
Emma (to the cashier, pointing): These is my boobs! My boobs!

And there are more that I can't think of at the moment. She is constantly amazing me with new things to say and new ways to show her attitude. Sometimes I have to turn around because I can't let her see me laughing :-) Lately she is doing all that she can to avoid sleep. I think she must have figured out that her Uncle KC can function on 3-4 hours of sleep, so she must be able to too. I am now being mean and telling her that if she doesn't lay still, she'll have to sleep outside in the dark. It used to work for my girls at kids camp :-) I would never make her go outside (at least not at this age), but it's nice to have the threat because it gets her to lie down and go back to bed :-)

Other than that, we're just greatly entertained by each of her new antics. We can't get enough of her and we hope that she continues to make us laugh more and more. We love it! Check back for more hilarity soon!
